2026: The Way of Love

"We Love Because He First Loved Us."

1 John 4:19

The 2026 theme for the Northwestern Ohio Synod is the Way of Love, which is the Way of Jesus.

In Matthew 22:37-39, Jesus shares the Greatest Commandment. “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Beacon of Hope

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

 -Matthew 5:14-16 NIV

“In Northwestern Ohio there are 1.5 million people who live in 23 counties. They are God’s people so they are our parishioners.”

~Bishop Daniel Beaudoin
