We are excited to invite back Rachel Wren as our Bible Study Leader! Rachel led Bible study at our 2018 Professional Leaders Retreat at Sawmill Creek Resort.
“Rachel is a PhD student at Emory University and an ordained Lutheran pastor in the ELCA. Her academic interests include the Psalms, biblical narrative and story, ritual and liturgy, preaching, ethnography and embodiment – in other words, the proverbial kitchen sink. The first part of her ministry was spent serving small town and rural churches in Minnesota. She misses the prairie sunrises. Her husband, Tim Wrenn, is a Lutheran pastor in Marietta, GA, where they live with their two children and two cats. Tim always appreciates Rachel’s sermon “feedback”. Rachel enjoys cooking, reading, walking, speaking French, discovering hidden parts of Atlanta, and that holy moment in worship when the acolyte lights the candles.”
Check out Rachel’s podcast “First Reading”, where she breaks down each week’s Old Testament lectionary readings.
