With the guiding verse of Isaiah 1:17, Pastor Adam Sornchai and the people of St. John’s, Cardington found ways to encourage and support young people in their community.
The congregation partnered with local community organizations, Marion Mentors and the Harambee Initiative, to empower children and foster families. To minister to their community in new ways, the congregation created game tubs, provided gift cards and zoo memberships for families, and learned bout individual mentorship.
Through this project, Pastor Adam Sornchai hoped to “equip and instill a sense of organic discipleship that can be carried out in the community, beyond the church walls and through the daily life of a Christian”.
