Dear Friends in Christ,
“Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above…” (James 1:17)
What a gift it is to see God’s people using the gifts they’ve been given. On Sunday evening, we gathered at Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg, for a Performance Arts Event. The gifts of God’s people filled that sacred space. What a delightful and inspiring evening! Thank you, dear God, for the beautiful gift of artists, musicians, dancers, sewers, photographers, designers, gazers, and dreamers.
Now see if you can figure out the Bible verse captured by the photo below.
During this Year of Scripture, we will aspire to grow as Christian disciples through three distinct practices:
1. Daily Bible Reading
- March 11 Joshua 1-4
- March 12 Joshua 5-8
- March 13 Joshua 9-11
- March 14 Joshua 12-15
- March 15 Joshua 16-18
- March 16 Joshua 19-21
- March 17 Joshua 22-24
2. Bible Reflection to help us to become fluent in the language of sacred scripture. The artists at the Bible Project do a great job of bringing Scripture to life. Check out this poster on the Book of Joshua. All Bible Project posters can be downloaded and shared, for free.
3. Bible Study Click here for the Sermon on the Mount Bible Studies.
4. The Northwestern Ohio Synod 2019 Book of the Year is A Compact Guide to the Whole Bible: Learning to Read Scripture’s Story. Edited by Robert W. Wall and David R. Nienhaus.
